Are you looking to make extra money and to be of service to children in need?  Consider being a part of the growing field of Professional Supervised Child Visitation Monitors.  A judge may order a Monitor to accompany a minor child and their non-custodial parent for various reasons. The role of the Monitor is to be a neutral party who observes behavior. Your service will allow the custodial parent the reassurance that the child’s physical and emotional safety is being provided for.  In this 5.20 Standards of Practice, 14 hour training, you will be trained to be an Independent Professional Supervised Visitation Monitor or to register as a Professional Supervised Visitation Monitor with a Monitoring Agency. Your training will include monitor procedures, visitation techniques, child abuse reporting, stages of child development, codes and standards, preparing reports and declarations, handling subpoenas, and marketing your business. The Training will consist of lecture, training videos, and role playing. You will receive a Certificate of Completion from the instructor.
Prerequisites: Must be 21 years of age, have post high school education or training per Assembly Bill 1674, and able to obtain a background check clearance and fingerprinting.  $75 cash material fee for your course manual is payable to the instructor.
