« back to classes page
Join filmmakers Gabriela Lopez de Dennis and Jim Towns for a workshop and conversation on the art and craft of indie sci-fi film-making, with screenings of their latest sci-fi short films both shot in the same location—an art installation space inspired by the Villa Diodati where Mary Shelley wrote her sci-fi novel, Frankenstein.   How did each filmmaker approach the space in a different manner?   How does each artist approach indie-style filmmaking and the sci-fi genre?  Join us for an up close and personal workshop that traces the steps of each filmmaker’s vastly different, yet similar sci-fi indie spirit and personal take on the film industry, plus indie insider best practice tips and tricks.  Sci-fi genre enthusiasts welcome, no filmmaking experience necessary.
