Great Grammar, Learn to Write for School & Fun, Writing an


 

 

 

 
This course will teach your 3rd or 4th grader the skills she/he needs to become a better reader.  Through fun and creative skill-building activities that will include leveled reading, literature circles, and writing activities, this course will focus on improving reading fluency, understanding, and comprehension.   Best of all, your child with learn about the joy of reading and the importance of reading as the foundation for all learning. Plus, your child will get a head start for the upcoming school year through reading practice and skills review!

Your child is a poet at heart!  Through reading, writing and common core language standard activities, your child will learn to create their own original poems.  Delving into the the magical world of some of the most famous poet's rhymes, rhythms, alliterations and flowing descriptive vocabulary, your child will learn how to create, review, and revise their own writings.

Incorporating the wonderful world of sound and sight words through songs, chants, raps, rhymes, and poems, your child will learn to identify words in books at their reading level. Plus, they will learn to identify spelling patterns as they read decodable text, broaden their vocabulary through a variety of hands-on activities and create their own word study journal to track their progress.
