Join us as we visit some of LA and Orange County's most popular locations--museums, theaters, restaurants, themed tours and more.




The Zoo is home to more than 1,100 mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles representing more than 250 different species of which 29 are endangered. In addition, the Zoo’s botanical collection comprises several planted gardens and more than 800 different plant species with 7,400 individual plants. Among the highlights at the Zoo are the Rainforest of the Americas, the Elephants of Asia, Campo Gorilla Preserve, and the Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountains. In addition to these exhibits, there is a wide variety of animals waiting for your discovery. Also, there are audio tours and safari shuttles to make your experience informative and comfortable. You will enjoy lunch on your own at one of several dining facilities, from cafes to sandwich stands. And you will be able to explore the International Marketplace, the zoo’s unique gift store. John Powers will be your step-on guide for this excursion. Includes zoo entrance fee. Depart:  El Camino College lot J (in front of the Marsee auditorium) @ 9:00AM, Return: 4:00PM

Science Club trip to Morro Bay/San Simeon, Central California Coast   July 28-30, 2017. $35 covers registration fee, plus additional $30 camping/food fee is payable to the Sceince Club. The Science Club will be visiting areas of great science interest, including Morro Bay, Montana de Oro State Park, southern Big Sur coast.   The groups will see and learn about sea otters, elephant seals, and California sea lions, as well as the geology of marine terraces, sea cliffs and caves, Morro Rock, and the Big Sur mountains and landslides.    Lodging:  Camping two nights in San Simeon State Park (no showers in campground). Lead Instructor:  Professor Karla Villatoro, Life Sciences. Pre-requisite:  Must be member of El Camino College Science Club and have pre authorization from one of the club leaders to attend club trip.
